Welding Works



     Welding works implemented by our welding specialists can are engaged in gas welding along with cutting and brazing operations. It is a must for a welding specialist to wear goggles or face mask before starting the welding process to protect themselves from injury. As for electric welding cutting operations, workers are instructed to wear helmets or shields fitted with filters and gloves.

     The welding machines used in process are tested by checking the insulation to ensure their safety condition before using them. We make sure that welding machines are installed 30 cm or more away from the switch box.


Welding and Cutting

a) All welding and cutting apparatus shall be inspected duly. Defective  apparatus and equipment shall be repaired.
b) Combustible materials equipment’s such as gas cylinder, rubber hose and debris shall be removed or shielded from heat, sparks and from welding and cutting.
c) Welding or cutting work at elevated place shall be conducted only in safe conditions. A SAFETY belt shall be worn.
d) Welding or cutting in an area where inflammable vapour may be present shall be carried out carefully after, under the supervision of SAFETY ENGINEER,  confirming wire a gas detector that the area is safe.

Welding Work

a) Welding machines shall be placed 15 cm above the ground to keep them dry.
b) Welding machines shall be placed level and secured with a suitable wedge to keep them in a horizontal position.
c) All electric welding machines shall be effectively grounded. The ground load for the welding machines shall be mechanically strong and electrically adequate for the service required.
d) Approved connectors shall be used to connect the welding cable with the welding machine and electric holder.
e) Only electrode holders that have passed the inspection shall be used.
f) Whenever welding work is suspended, the switch shall be turned off and the welding rod be disconnected from the holder by the welder before he leaves the construction area.
